Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) to Downtown Taipei

 

1.      By Bus

u      Several bus companies now provide frequent service between Taoyuan International Airport and Downtown Taipei. Buses run about every 20 minutes. Adult single fares vary from NT$90 to NT $145. More detail information can be found here

 

u      The following buses will arrive at the hotels listed in the Accommodation section:

   Taiwan Bus Corp. (Kuokuang Line): Stops at Taipei Railway Station, East Exit 3, about 10-minute walking distance to Caesar Park Hotel.

Toward You Air Bus: Stops at Howard Hotel and Grand Hyatt Hotel respectively. Agora Garden is about 15-minute walking distance, 5-minute drive from Grand Hyatt Hotel. The taxi fare will be around 75NTD (2.30USD).

Toward You Air Bus: Stops at Taipei Railway Station which is close to Caesar Park Hotel, and Sheraton Hotel Taipei respectively.

Free Go Bus: Stops over against United Hotel.

 

2.      By Taxi

u      When you are in Taoyuan Airport, you can easily transfer to downtown Taipei by taxi.

 

u      Taxis queue outside the Arrival Halls of both terminals. To ensure the safety of passengers, only taxis approved by the Aviation Police Bureau after a strict qualification procedure are cleared to operate in the Taoyuan Airport.

 

u      Taxis are available at Taoyuan Airport around the clock.

 

u      Airport Taxis charge according to the meter plus a 50% surcharge (highway tolls not included), and provide transport to anywhere in Taiwan. Typical fare to Taipei City is around NT$1,100.

u      The Location Address Card, which shows detailed address/map of the conference site in Chinese and in English, can be found here. You may print it out and bring it with you to show to the taxi driver, just in case the driver does not speak English very well.

 


 

Downtown Taipei Transportation to Taipei International Convention Center (TICC)

 

1.      By Taxi

u      The rate for taxis is NTD$70 for the first 1.5 kilometers and NTD$5 for each additional 250 meters in Taipei; from 11 pm to 6 am, extra NTD$20 is required as night service charge.

 

2.      By MRT (Mass Rapid Transit)

u      The mass rapid transit system (MRT) in Taipei, together with the metropolitan area's dedicated bus route network, forms a convenient transportation system. Auto ticketing slots can be found in MRT stations to provide ticketing services and coin changers are equipped in all stations. "Single-journey Ticket" price ranges from NTD$20 to NTD$65 depending on travel distance. A 200-dollar "One-day pass" purchased from service booth will allow unlimited travels among all MRT lines within one day. Please take advantage of One-day pass if you are in desire of visiting spots along MRT lines. u      How to Take MRT to TICC

    (1) Take Metro Banqiao Nangang Line (Blue Line) to “Taipei City Hall” Station.

    (2) Exit via Exit No. 2 : take Jilong Rd., then join onto Songgao Rd., and turn right to Shifu Rd., then join onto Xinyi Rd. to the TICC Main Entrance (as the dotted line shown on the following map, or the website http://www.ticc.com.tw/Flash/Traffic.aspx?Lang=en-US.)

 

Or you may take Taipei 101 Free Shuttle Buses, operated by Capital Bus Co. Ltd., run every 20 minutes on weekdays from City Hall MRT Station, Exit No. 2, to Taipei 101, which is only 5-minute walk from the conference venue.

 

u      Please note:

  The MRT running hours is from 6:00 to 24:00.

 To provide all the passengers a comfortable and safe ride, smoking, drinking & gum chewing are strictly prohibited in MRT area.

 ►Using cellular phone is prohibited in the first and the last cabinet of the train.

 ►Tickets are only valid on the date of purchase.

 Please locate pets in hand-carry cage, while police dogs and guide dogs are excluded.
