■ Invitation Letters for Visa Application
IROS 2010 will provide official letters of invitation to persons who have fully registered for the conference and for which payment has been received. Note that per IEEE Policy, only registered, paid persons may receive an invitation letter to the conference.
■ VISA for Arriving Taiwan
The following regulations are based on the diplomatic principles of equality and reciprocity. Foreign nationals may obtain visas from embassies, consulates or representative offices of the R.O.C. (Taiwan).
►Visa-Exempt Entry: 30 days
(The 30 days' duration of stay starts from the next day of arrival and is not extendable)

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, U.K., U.S.A and Vatican City State.

►Landing Visa: 30 days
(The 30 days' duration of stay starts from the next day of arrival and is not extendable)
Thirty-day landing visas can be obtained upon arrival at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. Countries eligible for Landing visas:
1. Holders of emergency or temporary passports with validity more than six months for nationals of the countries eligible for visa-exempt entry;
2. Holders of USA passport with validity less than six months.

►Visitors Holding Chinese Passports
Chinese passport holders are recommended to submit the application as early as possible, in order to leave plenty of time to process the application. We suggest submitting it by July 15th, 2010.

Having filled out the required documents described above,
· those residing abroad may contact the overseas Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (or Taipei Mission) for more information.
· those residing in Hong Kong may contact Chung Hwa Travel Service, Hong Kong for more information.
· those residing in Macao may contact the Taipei Economic and Cultural Center, Macau for more information.
· those residing in Mainland China may contact the Immigration Office in Taiwan through the help of the IROS 2010 Secretariat.
